The original fragrance in the Eight & Bob collection, Eight & Bob Eau de Parfum is a men's fragrance carrying a wonderful story. Here's how it goes;

Albert Fouquet, the son of a Parisian Aristocrat, created and perfected some essences for his own personal use. Refusing to 'take his fragrance to market', Fouquet had no commercial intentions for his perfumery. A visit from JFK changed everything. He adored the aroma, and upon returning to New York he requested some samples for his personal use. His request stated 'Please send 8 samples, and if you have enough, one for Bob the butler'. Fouquet obliged and was so charmed by his request, he named the fragrance Eight & Bob.

Top notes of citrus, ginger patchouli rest over a heart of sandalwood, ambergris and labdanum. The base is formed of cedar and guaiac wood.

Aside from the James Bond connection, this is a must-have for fans of proper wet-shaving. First, on the parabens: there are two in the forumla, but even with my sensitive skin they haven't caused irritation. Unless you're allergic or incredibly sensitive, you should be fine. Now, the cream: even less is needed than you'd expect. It's thicker and richer than Taylor's of Old Bond Street, though a little more work is needed to get the lather super silky. The scent is stunning- absolutely the Eucris blend of blackcurrant, oakmoss, and floral notes- and the performance is second-to-none. Gave me a very close shave even with mild blades. Great value for money in a larger tub than other makers, too. Treat yourself, get this. The fragrance lingers afterwards, so you're guaranteed to smell great.
