Virēre Eau de Parfum was created in collaboration with long-time Aesop partner Barnabé Fillion, drawing inspiration from a simple, everyday ritual, the preparation of tea. Virēre Eau de Parfum captures the essence of infusing green tea with the freshness of juicy, ripe fig.

Virēre takes its inspiration from the rituals and sensory experiences associated with making and enjoying tea. It evokes the small, thoughtful gestures involved in offering refreshment - a practice that is repeated countless times each day in Aesop stores worldwide. The fragrance captures the essence of a fig and its aromatic prowess, from the leaves and woody stem to the green fruit, whether freshly sliced or steeped in hot green tea and transformed by the steam.

Virēre Eau de Parfum emerges as a refined ‘Fresh’ fragrance that creates an emotional bond with the wearer. It is lively, verdant, and, like all Aesop fragrances, rich in layers and complexity.

Aside from the James Bond connection, this is a must-have for fans of proper wet-shaving. First, on the parabens: there are two in the forumla, but even with my sensitive skin they haven't caused irritation. Unless you're allergic or incredibly sensitive, you should be fine. Now, the cream: even less is needed than you'd expect. It's thicker and richer than Taylor's of Old Bond Street, though a little more work is needed to get the lather super silky. The scent is stunning- absolutely the Eucris blend of blackcurrant, oakmoss, and floral notes- and the performance is second-to-none. Gave me a very close shave even with mild blades. Great value for money in a larger tub than other makers, too. Treat yourself, get this. The fragrance lingers afterwards, so you're guaranteed to smell great.
